Last night, the 19th Journey to the West Cultural Festival officially kicked off at the Happy City of Yuwan in Yuwan Scenic Area. The theme of this year's Journey to the West Cultural Festival is "Journey to the Great Sage’s Hometown and Enjoy the Wonderland of Journey to the West". It is a large-scale cultural and tourism feast, featuring a dual mode of "festival+performance", "promotion+discussion" and "performance+exhibition". Relying on the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, visitors from all directions are attracted to have a joyful festival time together.

The prelude has begun, and the "Holiday Menu" has been released. In 2023, the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day are coming soon, and the 8-day holiday has ignited the "fun" of many citizens and tourists. In order to let tourists experience the charm of excellent traditional Chinese culture and create a festive atmosphere for National Day, the city has planned and launched over 400 festival cultural and tourism activities, including more than 80 key activities, covering various aspects such as theme exhibitions, artistic performances and tourism interactions, integrating "Golden Reunion" and "Red Birthday of China" into colorful holidays.

On the occasion of the "Double Festival", Lianyungang Grand Theatre will launch Zhong Kui Marrying off His Sister starring Yang Lixin and Wen Zhang; one day before the performance, the Grand Theater will also hold a meet-and-greet event with the leading actor Yang Lixin to interpret the stage work in front of and behind the scene. In addition, on October 2nd, the Grand Theater will also present White Deer Plain by Shaanxi People's Art Theatre, which has become a milestone in the history of Chinese drama. At the same time, around the "Double Festival", relevant units and departments in various counties and districts also bring about rich and colorful cultural activities to celebrate the National Day. Donghai County is going to hold concert of stars at the Donghai International Crystal Festival; Guanyun County will hold poetry recitation and whipped egg game; Guannan County will present a Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day firework show; Ganyu District will hold themed cultural evenings, folk cultural performances and etc; Lianyun District will hold cultural and artistic exhibitions, picture book reading, handmade lanterns and other activities to enrich the "holiday time" with seaside style.
