SCO Logistics Enterprise Exchange and Negotiation Conference Held

Yesterday morning, the SCO Logistics Enterprise Exchange and Negotiation Conference was held in our city. Representatives of the SCO Secretariat, heads and entrepreneurs of the transport, diplomatic, customs, railway and other departments of member states, and representatives of the embassies of Pakistan, Iran, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Cambodia in China gathered at Haizhou Bay Convention Center to promote the development of logistics industry between China and SCO countries, explore a broader space for cooperation and build a comprehensive, wide-ranging and multi-level cooperation pattern. Sohail Khan, Deputy Secretary General of the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and Song Bo, Deputy Mayor, attended the meeting.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Over the past 10 years, SCO countries have carried out in-depth exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, culture, science and technology, education, energy, transportation, finance and other fields, effectively promoting the comprehensive and balanced development of regional economy and society. In the past 10 years, with the witness and assistance of various countries, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (Lianyungang) International Logistics Park has further improved its infrastructure construction, strengthened its industrial agglomeration capacity, and enhanced its international exchange and service functions. At present, the multimodal logistics transportation system of "public transportation, railway transportation, river transportation and sea transportation" in the logistics park has been basically completed, and the first China, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine public transportation international train in Jiangsu has been successfully launched. It has become a comprehensive industrial park that integrates modern logistics, new materials and other industries. For a long time, relying on the "Belt and Road" initiative and the SCO framework, Lianyungang Port has accelerated the brand construction of "two bases, one train", and promoted the interconnection of deep-water ports, liner routes and international trains and logistics stations. The international trains have been running 725 times annually in the past 10 years, forming the characteristic advantages of 100% load factor, high proportion of return trips and national leading transit traffic volume.

At the conference, representatives of Lianyungang Customs, SCO countries and Chinese logistics enterprises were invited to give a speech. Through communication, various enterprises have expressed that they will take this conference as an opportunity to achieve policy coherence, smooth trade and win-win cooperation among each other, establish a transportation and logistics platform mechanism for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and jointly create a new situation for the prosperous development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's economy, trade and logistics.
